Muslim Brotherhood May Be Ready to Send Egyptian Jihadists into Israel

During Israel’s War of Independence, the Muslim Brotherhood invaded Israel with a sizable number of fighters and heavy weapons, but were balked by a handful of farmers fighting to protect their towns. But apparently the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood is discussing doing to Israel what they are already doing to Syria.
Saber Abul Fotouh, a member of the High Commission for the ruling Freedom and Justice Party, which is the political arm of the Muslim Brotherhood, said that their “youth group” are poised to join the jihad in Gaza “with our Palestinian brothers in their war against the brutal Zionist aggression.”
Aboul Fotouh told the newspaper that they wish to issue such a decision, adding that if a decision would be made to join the jihad, “there will be hundreds in our community [willing to go to] Palestine to help our brothers there, and stand on their side.”
Sources said that a number of young Muslim Brotherhood members already traveled to Gaza in order to support Palestinian Arabs in their war against Israel, but this was denied by Aboul Fotouh, saying they have not received orders from the group so far to travel to Gaza – but they hope so.
However, he stressed that Hamas is not in need of members to support it because it has the best fighters in the world, saying that their first duty to support them is with weapons and money.
If Egypt’s ruling party begins moving fighters and weapons, covertly or overtly, to fight Israel, that will kill Camp David for good and revert the situation right back to what it was some forty years ago.
Aboul Fotouh helped found al-Gama’a al-Islamiyya, a vicious Islamist terrorist group, responsible for the Luxor Massacre, among other atrocities. That means his statement can’t be dismissed as more hot air from another Egyptian politician. Fotouh is among the more extreme members of the Muslim Brotherhood and has pushed it to take a hard line on a number of areas. Recently he has been drifting closer to the more extreme of the Salafis and has claimed to no longer be with the Brotherhood because they have drifted too far from the teachings of the vicious sociopath, Hasan Al-Banna.
Fotouh has close links to the Muslim Brotherhood’s youth wing, but it’s unclear whether he is referring to the existing Muslim Brotherhood youth wing or the Current Party splinter youth wing friendly with him.
Fotouh along with his Strong Egypt Party and the youth Egyptian Current Party have already sent a “humanitarian convoy” into Gaza. Elder wonders whether they brought any weapons with them. “The luggage compartment of a tour bus could easily hold several Fajr-5 rockets.”

The Current Party however does not seem to have a working site and their Facebook and Twitter pages don’t mention Gaza at all.
