You
want to know about your heritage, confused about who you are as a Jew, want to
know where your life is heading, want to connect, call Jewlicious.
Jewlicious,
that began its existence as a group blog in
the Summer of 2004, is a grassroots organization, with great interest in Israel
and Judaism, is changing the way young adults affiliate and participate in Jewish life.
With
Rabbi Yonah Bookstein as the director of Jewlicious and JConnect (Everything
Jewish in greater
Los
Angeles, or any other city….), the organization supports Jewish communities
with training, resources, media, informal
Jewish education, and events to foster young Jewish adult engagement. It
develops and utilize networks, programming and social media, to promote
creativity, social entrepreneurship,
collaboration, inclusiveness and Jewish people-hood.
Jewlicious
is a Jewish, non-denominational organization that allows young Jews to make informed
decisions about what role Judaism should have in the evolution of their
personal identities. The organization's dedication is to Jewish unity and
building bridges, meaning, they welcome all Jews regardless of their political
and religious orientation.
This
week, in spite of the war in progress between Israel and Hamas, Jewlicious held
its annual Night of Unity jubilee (http://nou2012.eventbrite.com/), in
Hollywood, in which it honored Rabbi Shlomo Seidenfeld, a noted teacher, Barak
Raviv, a philanthropist and a community leader and Mayim Hoya Bialik, an
actress and an author. To say the evening was grand is an understatement.
Remember,
the continuation of Jewish life, depends on us Jews. It requires to be actively
involved. By "playing nice" together, Jewlicious can attest to
growing success in bringing young adult Jews into the Jewish community,
attracting them to a commitment to Jewish life and thus securing the future of
the Jewish nation.
Go
connect with Jewlicious; you may discover a world you did not know about and
longed for: http://www.jewlicious.com/
